ffmpeg -i 'input.jpg' -c:v libwebp -q:v 75 -compression_level 6 'output.webp'

About this command

This command encodes the input image as WebP. The quality setting controls the balance between visual quality and file size, while maximum compression effort favors smaller output files.

-i

Specifies the input image file.

-c:v libwebp

Encodes the image using the WebP image codec.

-q:v

Sets WebP image quality. Lower values generally produce smaller files.

-compression_level 6

Uses the highest WebP compression effort to favor smaller output files.
